Yesterday, we had class again and it was much more interesting because a lot more people had read the cases and were able to participate in the discussion. I've been trying to sit with new people at breakfast and lunch every day, so I have met pretty much everyone in my class now.

After the speech, I spent some time checking email and got invited to meet up with some of our group for dinner. There is a restaurant, called The Flamingo, at the top of the hill (our hotel is at the bottom) that was rumored to have the best food in the area, so we decided to trek up the hill. And for someone that was working out a ton before I left, I still struggled big time on the incline of the hill. Whew!
I had dinner with Ernesto, from Atlanta, Avalyn, from Portland, OR, and Kelly, another IU-Indy student. I found it really easy to talk with them because all of us graduated from undergrad between 2000 and 2003, so we've all spent a bit of time in the "real world" before law school.

I really hope that we can become good friends while we are here. Avalyn and Kelly also have boyfriends back home.
I had an order of pasta and the other three had pizza. The food at The Flamingo put the other pizza place on our hotel property to shame. We also split a bottle of wine (I had about 2 1/2 glasses) and my whole bill was $15 American dollars. :) Once Croatia becomes a member of the EU, I can guarantee a trip like this would cost much more when they start using the Euro.
So, after we got back from dinner, it was about 10pm (4pm Indiana time) and I went upstairs, did some reading for class and went to bed. So far today (Day 10) all I have done is go to class. I plan to take a nap after lunch (I'm still catching up on my lack of sleep from earlier) and studing for our first final exam at 9am tomorrow morning. I'm getting really excited about our trip to Dubrovnik tomorrow evening and a possible boat trip to some islands on Saturday.

I'll post more pictures from here in Mlini very soon. I have added all of the ones from the Netherlands and Belgium, so you can enjoy checking those out, as well.
