The day started off normally, like always, with class, etc. Then a group of about 12 of us went to a winery tour (organized by the program, but not funded by it). It was fun and the wine was really tasty. The only weird moment was when Stacey accidentally knocked a glass of red wine on Josh's khaki shorts. We all joked around about it but Stacey took the jokes personally, so I don't think he handled the situation really well.
After the winery, our group walked around Cavtat and walked to the highest point in the town to a masoleum that overlooked the city and the sea. It was really pretty, but I don't know it was worth the hike...it was a LOT of stairs and I got blisters on the bottom of my feet. :(
We got back to the hotel around 5:30pm and I went to the beach for a little while. It wasn't very crowded because it was so late, but a few of the people from our group were there. I swam for a little bit and then Stacey and I walked to Alf's for a cheeseburger.
After dinner I showered up and went down to the classroom to check my email. Down there Jeanna and I decided to go out for a little while. We ended up going to J.C.'s room to hang out with him, Josh and Carra. They were finishing their bottles of wine they bought at the winery earlier in the day. We stayed there for about an hour or two and then met with Matt W. and Katie to walk down to Club 23.
I had a few beers at Club 23 and we left around 2am. That's when the craziness started. On our walk home, we decided to climb on a playground and take pictures. Then J.C. thought it would be a good idea to jump off of a rock into the sea. Jeanna and Carra left, so Katie, Matt and I tried to talk him out of it from above and Josh went into the water and swam over to where he was planning to jump to tell him there were a bunch of rocks there. After what seemed like forever, he decided to change his mind and we all continued on our way.
Then we ended up by the water polo court near our hotel. The guys decided it would be a better idea to jump in there since there are no rocks. After a little while, Katie and I joined them. It was so cold! We didn't stay in very long. I was really lucky because the guys pushed Katie back in after she had gotten out and I avoided it.
While the guys were still swimming, Josh ended up getting an asthma attack. So, we had to rush back to the hotel. Josh tried to wake up Carra, who he thought had his key, and J.C. and Matt went to the front desk in case Carra didn't have it. Josh got the key from Carra and I made sure he got his inhaler. Then, I made sure all of the guys made it to their rooms and I headed to bed around 4am. What a night!
