Yesterday I began the day with our 3rd final exam. I finally felt like it went really well. I am hoping this course will be much better for me. After class, one of my classmates, Michael, took me to the airport to pick up Bethany. She was supposed to get in around 1:45pm (7:45am Indiana time) but she got in closer to 2:20pm, so we left the airport about 2:40pm.
Nearby the airport, Mike decided to stop at a local winery. We had a few tastes of wine and bought a couple of bottles. It was really inexpensive and tasted pretty good. After that, we walked around Cavtat, a small town near the airport, for a little while. It was really pretty and had some cute shops, so we may try to come back sometime.
When we got back to the hotel, Bethany took a shower and I went to Croatian class. There were only 3 of us in the class last night, so I was glad I went. After the class, a group of about ten of us went to dinner at the hotel pizza place. Then, seven of us decided to go to one of the casinos in Dubrovnik.
We left for the Golden Sun Casino around 9:30pm (3:30pm Indiana time). It was in the newer part of Dubrovnik inside a beautiful hotel. The place was really swanky looking but it was almost completely empty! It did get a little busier as the night went on, but I guess it doesn't get too busy on Tuesday nights. It was still pretty fun. I lost about $25 Euros (about $40 U.S.) playing roulette and blackjack for an hour or so. Bethany won $30 Euros (about $45 U.S.) playing roulette.
We also had a few drinks while we were at the casino and I am feeling pretty crappy this morning (due to lack of sleep more than dehydration, I think). Hopefully I'll feel a little better soon. I think I'll try to get to bed earlier tonight. :)
