Needless to say, after the first final, none of us were very focused on the start of our next class which began soon after we were all finished. After that, I just chilled out in my room after lunch and got ready for our group ferry ride to Dubrovnik!

At 4pm (10am Indiana time) we met in our classroom and walked down to the ferry. A large portion of our class went on the trip, so that was nice. It was really HOT but once the boat got moving, things were much better. We made the trip in about 20 minutes and I took a ton of pictures along the way. For the first time, I was able to see some buildings that were damaged in the war here. There were a few hotels on the beach that had large holes in them from artillery. They have been abandoned since, but people still go to their beaches.

Once we arrived in Dubrovnik, we went to the Ron Brown Memorial Art Museum. I don't know if any of you remember, but Ron Brown was a Clinton aide who was killed in a plane crash just outside of Dubrovnik, so they named the museum after him. The place was really small, but it had pretty good air conditioning so I definitely took my time walking around in there.

Next, we went for a tour of the outer walls of Dubrovnik. Both of these activities were paid for by our program fee, so that was really helpful. The views from the walls were amazing! I took so many pictures! I can't wait to get them on here.

It took us about 2 hours to walk all of the way around and it was extremely warm out (even though we started around 5pm) but it was still worth doing. Every way you looked it was absolutely incredible.
It's really hard to describe.

After the wall tour, Stacy, a student from Idaho state, Karrie and I found a restaurant with some outdoor seating and had dinner (and a few drinks). Karrie does not drink very often, so I found her to be very entertaining. I was glad that we spent that time together getting to know each other. We wandered around for a little while after dinner and tried to meet up with some of the other students. We never ended up going to the bar they were at, but we found an Irish pub and had our own good time there. :)

I never felt really drunk by any means, but I was in a nice happy state. We made sure to be ready for the "shuttle" back to our hotel at midnight. I know some other people stayed out later, but that walk around Dubrovnik tired us out! Plus, I knew I had to be in good form for my adventures today....
